We are offering the RARE program of events for the Eleventh Annual Exhibition of The Brockton Agricultural Society, held on October 1, 2 and 3, 1884, in Brockton, Massachusetts. The program also serves as a Complimentary Admittance Card for a gentleman and a lady. (3 1/2" x 4 1/2") It has a raised medallion applique on the front that says "Complimentary", and a raised applique of a shield "Eleventh Annual 1884" on the back. The events included Working Oxen, Draft Horses, Colts, and Family Horses - races with prizes of $300, $250 and $100. On the second day it held Plymouth City Bicycle Races with a gold medal as a prize and a 1-Mile Foot Race, prize of $20. On the last day there were Potato and Sack Races, and Obstacle Races. The Brockton Agricultural Society Annual Exhibition later became known as the Brockton Fair, which closed in 2020. See Images for details.
