Value is in the ancient textiles - gauze was used to cover the face of the dead… it is interesting that they use this same gauze for the head covering of their doll.
The fine weave was tribute and more course weave the everyday wear.
These were made mid 1900s by the descendants of CHANCAY who used the ancient cloth used in burials 500-1000 years prior.
The preserved cloth became uncovered in the desert area and was reused for these dolls.
