This is a nice group of PATRIOTIC antique postcards from the very early 1900s. They were published for GREETINGS as well as BEST WISHES. These show PRESIDENT GEORGE WASHINGTON, and it displays his picture on a book stand. One side has his portrait and the other side has a key statement that he made. The bookstand is GOLD, and the postcards are EMBOSSED. The postcards are colorful with roses all around. This is a high value set that was published by Anglo American.

The publisher, Anglo-American Publishing Co. (1886-1909, New York), was actively involved with halftone view-cards and comic cards.They published many black & white as well as tinted halftone postcards.They used embossed methods and printed both in Germany and later in the USA.They published postcards showing President Washington and Lincoln that are collector items today.

The postcards have very nice patriotic messages from our first president. These arecollector itemsbecause of their age, their colorful design, and their overall appeal to those collecting Washington and Patriotic antique postcards. They also have a nice glimpse of life back in that era.

The postcards are UNPOSTED (3) and POSTED (2) with cancel dates in the 1912 era. These postcards have DIVIDED backs. These postcards were "Made in USA".

These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector.The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear due to their age (over 100 years old!).The photos show the postcards and their backs.
