The tray is 6" in diameter, silver plated and features a coin embossed with USS Nimitz, keel laid, June 22, 1968 at Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company. The plate was manufactured by the William A Rogers silver company and is in excellent quality considering its age. it is a rare piece of naval memorabilia and would be prized by collectors and event participants alike.
