Description: A polished septarian chert nodule/concretion from the 2.5 billion year old (Archean) Brockman Iron Formation, part of the Hamersley Group in the Mount Bruce Supergroup of Western Australia. It has been cut with a diamond saw and polished to a lapidary-grade reflective finish. A beautiful souvenir from deep time, and an essential specimen in any geology collection!
