RimRock: Rare Polished CROOKED RIVER AGATE LIMB CAST Rough Extra Large Slice DescriptionThis came from the collection of a couple of gals that did their rock hunting in the mid-40s to mid-60s. It comes out of Central Oregon near the Crooked River.This piece has a mirror polish on one side that helps to show the brecciated pattern on one end, clear agate with banding and turtle back on the other end, and a vug lined with botryoidal agate and outlined with crystal and a band of white agate. I see a couple of hairline fractures where the agate and brecciated meet and some cleavage fractures, but it's otherwise solid. It will sit on a stand for a display specimen.It measures, at its widest:
9-1/2" x 11-3/8" x 7/16" to 1/2"Weight: 3 lbs, 4 ozPictures were taken of each side with the slice dry.
