RPPC Tuscaloosa AL S. F. Malone General Merchandise Country Store Postcard. The rare, c1912 postcard has a lot going on; it shows the S. F. Malone General Merchandise Country Store, the fruit or vegetable seller's wagon marked, "J. Harding "on the side with an umbrella marked, "J. T. Watson, Tuscaloosa Ala"; there is a rare tin advertising sign for Plezol, the new drink, Plezol was a soda fountain drink, the company was in business for a short time from 1911-1917. There is also a sign posted on the building talking about spitting and consumption. The four people in the photo are three white men and one black man. The RPPC has an AZO stamp box with four arrows pointing up which dates it to 1904-18. Alabama real photo postcards from this time period are very hard to find in any condition and considered scarce by most collectors.
