I personally restored this hatchet. It is from the 1940s Craftsman. I used a new hickory octagon handle with era correct replica decal. The original ones were painted blue at the bottom of the handle just like this one.No sheath on this one, sorry.
The head was polished to high mirror shine, sharp enough to cut paper. The handle was treated with boiled linseed oil, Early American stain, and tung oil.
