This is an authentic set of 3 Associated and Articulated (from the same animal) Oreodont Vertebrae from the White River Badlands' Brule Formation near Crawford, Nebraska.

The oreodonts were a group of pig-like hoofed mammals that lived in North America during the Oligocene and Miocene, about 35-5 million years ago. Despite their pig-like appearance, they were probably more closely related to camels. Most oreodonts were relatively small, but some could reach the size of a cow. Like cows, they were also cud-chewing, grazing herbivores.
