One of our larger hand axes we have available for sale. A medium brown flint tool which seems to be worked on both sides, or bifacial. The specimen is sold with a custom made metal stand.

More Information
The Acheulean industry included flakes, flake tools, cores, and other larger cutting tools. However, the Acheulean handaxes are the defining artifact of this industry. These handaxes may have been produced by two extinct species: Homo erectus and Homo heidelbergensis. These fossils are found in various sites in Africa and Asia.
