Dog Llewelin Setter (Named & ID's), Rare Large 1870s Antique Engraving Print:
$99.95

You are offerding on a large, very rareoriginal antiqueengraving from an 1870s French illustrated journal.

It depicts a rare view of an original Llewellin setter (called a "Laverack setter" in the caption, after the man who co-founded the breed). Beautiful artistry to the engraving. Extra large size. To the bottom right is the pheasant she has just detected. She is named as Lucy, of the Chasse Illustre Kennel in France.

The Llewellin Setter is a very specific, pure strain of "English Setter with bloodlines tracing back to the breeding program of nineteenth century sportsman R. L. Purcell Llewellin. Llewellin and Edward Laverack played a key role in the development of the breed.

It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture fills most of it, with a Frenchcaption below and text surrounding it.

The page is in excellent condition for its age. There is text/photos on the back of the print. See scan for an accurate view of the condition.

This print will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
