Very Good-Plus Condition! 122 Years-Old!

Up for sale is a very nice, RARE antique Civil War history book from 1902 titled: The History of the Third Regiment, Excelsior Brigade, 72nd New York Volunteer Infantry 1861-1865! This book was compiled by Henri Le Fevre Brown. There is a nice photo of him as the frontispiece. It appears to me this book was published by the author and printed in his hometown of Jamestown, New York. The publication date 1902 is found on the title page. This is the FIRST EDITION.

I acquired this book from an estate in rural Western New York. It was gently handled and treasured down through the years.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Sergeant Henri Le Fevre Brown (May 30, 1842 – April 29, 1910) was an American soldier who fought in the American Civil War. Brown received the country's highest award for bravery during combat, the Medal of Honor, for his action during the Battle of the Wilderness in Virginia on 6 May 1864. He was honored with the award on 23 June 1896.

CONDITION: This book is complete and intact, in very good-plus condition as evidenced by the photos. . The covers are in very good-plus condition with light age-expected corner wear. The inside covers are in very good-plus condition, with no cracking or separation present at the front hinge, back hinge is fine. There are no bookplates, markings or writing on the inside covers or end papers. The pages are in very good-plus condition, pages are crisp, all pages are tight to the binding. The spine is in very good-plus condition. The gold gilt lettering is easily read.

This is a very nice, RARE old Civil War history book that will make for a nice addition to your collection.
