The shell seems to glow in thewater, angels begin to sing, and before you know it, you're singing too!Almost all of the small cowries I've collected in Hawaii were found in thatway, just sitting there in 12 inches of water under a small rock, at a place Icould only get to at low tide. My favorite spot wasa large slab ofdead coral at Sandy Beach that was a pain to lift up (and often exciting, sincemoray eelsalsoliked to hide under the same large slab) butchecking under that slab was almost always worth the effort---helvolas,maculiferas, isabellas, monetas, pennaceuscones in the sand and morewere all found under that same slab over the years.Thisshellhowever, was found in that magical spot---Tahiti, I mean, when I read about thegreat shells found there, it reminds me of Fort Kam reef on Oahu, a wonderfulplace to go collecting that everyoneelsegot to go collectingat, but not me!. Anyhow, this exquisite beauty was found at low tide undera piece of dead coral atTuamotu, Tahiti, (even thenamesofthese places sounds fantastic, ouch!) and as the video shows, isa gorgeous, blue-eyedultra-GEMthat will lookterrificsitting on your shelf!The perfect shell for a first-class collection.
As for normal disclaimers, we do the best we can with photos, but color is tricky, especially since cell phone cameras automatically lean towards flesh-tone coloring, (that's why so many of the photos of shells on show up with more orange than is really there, the camera changes the color, and damm if I can figure out how to stop that from happening, but I try, honest!As for response, as your know, sellers live and die by the response you leaved, (please leave fives!) so if you have a problem, just let me know!
