"Raised by Wolves

The mistake was most often make in considering the great debate is that it's between scienceand religion it is not. The great debate is between science of the 21st century and science of the 2nd century

Religionsin response to observation and those same observations formed this science of the early centuries. As modes of observation evolved so too did the explanations of natural phenomena as more information came available through deeper observation-thus evolving science. Religions in general remained attached to the earliest tennents as dogma was established rules of order, penance and restitution gave rise to powerful and wealthy rule makers who could cam these directivescame not from themselves but from God himself as revealed both in the natural order of 2nd century physics and biology and of course, through the private visitationsto the select few chosen prophets and mediators

Astrophysicist Bernard Haisch has a wonderful quote, "Advances are made by answering questions Discoveries are made by questioning answers! Whether those answers are that a single deity created it all in six days, or that the is a me happening and that ife is accidental - they have to be questioned Maybe we find that God is merely a name given to an underlying intelligent cosmos the continues to create and evolve and each step is the pre-curser to another step which can tum in any direction depending on adaptation for the sake of continued evolution Maybe there is no pre-determination in the universe but a uniquely tuned responseto cause and effect based on moment to moment reactions to advance this very small form of inteligent stitches we cat human like in the giant fabric of the cosmios

I said all that to say this. We are evolving and it is up to us to make choices moment by moment as to which direction we will go. It is not pre-determined, but as wave particle theory suggests a whole new opportunity opens up the moment we recognize each choice we make as an opportunity to evolve, to change, to help to find pathos and love. No matter what we come from, we determine our own path we can create our own way This is the second decade of the 21st century Let's act like it"

"Summer"

"Tum your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you"-Maori proverb At Litha, the summer solstice, the sun is at its highest point in the sky.

Many ancient cultures marked this date as significant, and the concept of sun worship is one nearly as old as mankind itself. In societies that were primarily agricultural, and depended on the sun for life and sustenance it is no surprise that the sun became deified. While many people today might take the day to grill out, go to the beach, or work on their tans, for our ancestors the summer solstice was a time of great spiritual import

The Egyptian peoples honored Ra, the sun god. For people in ancient Egypt, the sun was a source of life. It was power and energy, light and warmth. It was what made the crops grow each season, so it is no surprise that the cult of Ra had immense power and was widespread. Ra was the ruler of the heavens. He was the god of the sun, the bringer of light, and patron to the pharaohs. According to legend, the sun travels the skies as Ra drives his chariot through the heavens. Although he originally was associated only with the midday sun, as time went by, Ra became connected to the sun's presence all day long.

As part of the cult of Mithra, early Persian societies celebrated the rising of the sun each day. The legend of Mithra may well have given birth to the Christian resurrection story. Honoring the sun was an integral part of ritual and ceremony in Mithraism, at least as far as scholars have been able to determine. One of the highest ranks one could achieve in a Mithraic temple was that of heliodromus, or sun-carrier.

The earliest forms of sun-worship presented the goddess as the bringer of warnth and life and so I've chosen to represent Aine with the flowers of harvest and bounty and the resurgence of life as the butterflies emerge from their cocoons fed by the living waters. Of course, the lollipop represents the circle of life. In modern times Aine has become revisioned as the Fairy Queen"
