A fun vintage keepsake for any of the thousands of students or staff of The Rutledge Education System - a chain of private, for profit business schools and colleges that operated between 1975 and 1990. Owned by George Shinn and operated out of the corporate offices in Charlotte, NC, each of the 56 colleges under the RES umbrella were schools was named Rutledge College and campuses were located primarily in southeast US. This listing is comprised of 2 handbooks:

A simple, 28-page "Career Development Handbook" was given to each student nearing program completion as a first step in writing resumes, preparing for interviews, etc.
A simple, photocopied "Library Handbook" produced by the Winston Salem NC RES campus to orient students to use of the campus library.Has one penciled notation on the back cover.
