This gem-quality fossil shark’s tooth measures 35 mm in length (1.30 inches) and is capped with a custom shark’s mouth design of pure 925 Sterling Silver. A superb fossil tooth with good coverage of a light whitish-grey fossilized enamel.

Carcharodon hastalis, formally known as Isurus hastalis and Cosmopolitodus hastalis, was long regarded as a member of the mako shark lineage butis now thought by many paleontologists to have been an early ancestor to the living great white shark of today with teeth similar in size and shape to those of modern white sharks but without serrations.
