You are offerding on a very rareoriginal antiqueengraving from an 1870s French illustrated journal.

It depicts a beautiful curly-coated retriever retrieving a wounded duck. Nice representation of what the breed looked like over 135 years ago. Beautriful tight curls! The caption identifies the area as Troarn, a commune in the Calvados in the Normandy region in northwestern France.

It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture area is about
8.5 x 5.5inches (21.5 x14 cm), with a Frenchcaption below and unrelated textabove it. The text could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.

The page is in excellent condition for its age. There is text/photos on the back of the print. See scan for an accurate view of the condition.
