If you watched the HBO series on Chernobyl (Highly recommended, mostly factual) or you're up on nuclear history, you know that the Soviet RBMK nuclear reactor design in Chernobyl was built of graphite blocks, similar to the first reactor of the Manhattan Project. When the reactor exploded in 1986, it spewed burning graphite everywhere. The last photo shows what a similar reactor looks like.What we have here is a reproduction of one of those blocks, sized for desk display, at about 1/3 scale. I closed the bottom so it can be used as a pencil cup or to keep your loose change, etc.Custom 3D printed in a metallic-looking black plastic that looks a lot like graphite. About 3" square and 3.5" tall.Sadly, it does NOT include the eerie blue glow; you'll have to provide that yourself.
