This is a Kyu Gunto sword handle. There is no blade or scabbard attached, just the handle.
It is in very good shape, with the wire wrap still intact and the scabbard locking mechanism still functioning very well.It's built for a one-handed sword.I believe this was fit for Meiji Era Police swords, and could possibly be put on a new sword.
