Silver plated oval tray made by Fisher Silversmiths Co. in 1960 commemorating the 200th anniversary of the P. Lorillard Tobacco Company. Tray is 8 1/4” x 6 1/4” with decorative scalloped edges. Some scratches and needs polishing. But no pitting or dings. The last photo contains information on the Fisher Silversmiths Co.
Info on the P. Lorillard Co. - Lorillard Tobacco Company was founded in 1760 by Pierre Abraham Lorillard. It was an American tobacco company that marketed cigarettes under the brand names Newport, Maverick, Old Gold, Kent, True, Satin, and Max. The company had two operating segments: cigarettes and electronic cigarettes.
The company was purchased by Reynolds American, a company owned by British American Tobacco, in 2015, a deal that was announced in 2014.
