Dating to the mid 1930's, this porcelain sconce is an excellent example of skyscraper modernist design. It was produced by Porcelier of Greensburg, PA, Americas' premiere maker of ceramic fixtures in their time and were most likely designed by Hyam Tauber, their primary designer of "modern" fixtures. A copy of the relevant page from their 1936 catalog, indicating that it is model 108, is provided here for your reference.
