Now, the inspirational message of that beloved poem verse is captured in this striking Footprints in the Sand Pen Kit. The top of the pen sets the scene with footprints trailing off into the distance alongside gentle ocean waves. The upper tube highlights an iconic excerpt from the poem, classically written in graceful, swooping calligraphy. While the pen clip features a Cross tastefully mounted between the poem verse. On the pen tip you will find a single set of footprints in the sand. Includes a smooth writing Parker style refill.
Olivewood is an exotic wood that is native to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. It has a sentimental and religious significance to several cultures and religions. The wood is hard and strong, and has fantastic working characteristics, making it a favorite for wood turning and carving. What makes this hardwood so unique is the extraordinary grain pattern of each individual piece, as well as the distinctive and inviting fragrance that it gives off. It even becomes darker, richer, and more beautiful in color as it ages! It has long been a favorite for religious, historical, and artistic artifacts. It finishes very smoothly, to a high polish.
As a world renowned artisan, I was able to form this fine writing instrument through a painstaking process that involved several hours and stages in order to present a finely polished work of art. The blanks were measured and drilled before inserting brass tubes. They were then trued on each end before being placed on my Rikon midi-lathe for the shaping using various chisels. When the desired shape was achieved I then took them through a multi-stage sanding process finishing with nine steps of micro-mesh, followed by a multi step polishing with Cyanoacrylate, then three coats of Aussie Oil, finished with Carnauba wax resulting in a glass like finish.
