For sale is a medal group comprising of British Empire Medal (E.II.R.) named V0564811 CH.TECH. ERNEST S REEVES. R.A.F.; 1939 – 45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defenceand War Medals (1939 – 45) all unnamed as issued.; Royal Air Force Long Serviceand Good Conduct Medal (E.II.R.) impressed named 564811 CH. TECH. E.S. REEVES.R.A.F. Court mounted for display. They come with copy basic service extract.

Chief Technician Ernest Sidney Reeves joined the Royal AirForce as an Aircraft Apprentice pre-WW2 and was still serving after QueenElizabeth took the throne.

He may have been assigned to a fighter or fighter bombersquadron as he was on the ground in France post 6/6/1944 to earn the France andGermany Star. The bomber squadrons remained in England.

Awarded the British Empire Medal (B.E.M.) post 1952 nodoubt due to his work in the R.A.F. Technical Branch.
