These are examples of some of Marion Weeber’s more rare button creations. She was known for her highly detailed, coloring, and design of flowers, full dinner plates, cheese, wedges, and other finely created Buttons that frequently, if not taken care of against improper ventilation, would fall apart, due to exposure to the sun and other elements. They were made from celluloid and these two particular buttons are in very good shape. They are indicative of, again, her fine detail to Art attention. She’s hand painted them and added each little band around the hat, and there are tiny metal shanks.in the back as well.
