Thank you for taking a look at this 1970 Hallmark pop-up book, 'Astronauts on the Moon'". The Story of the Apollo Moon Landings'. I was obsessed with this book as a kid - you can tell by the dust jacket which has rips and crinkles and shows every bit of its 54-years. Please see photos! The hard cover, however, is in very good shape with some minor wear on the corners and binding.
The interior pages are also in very good condition with vibrant colors and copy that is crisp and clear. I have included a photo of each page for this listing. There are no rips or folds in the pages.
All of the 3-dimensional action pop-ups are fully functional, and each of the 'pull' tabs are functional except for one which needs repair. It is a pull-tab on the second to last page of the book - please see photos as I have included a 'needs repair' banner on that specific pull tab.
As we approach the 55th anniversary of the July 1969 Apollo 11 Moon Landing, this is wonderful piece of vintage space memorabilia to have on display, and would also make a terrific gift for the aspiring little astronaut in your life.
I hope the new owner enjoys this book as much as I did as a kid.
