I found this at a sale dusty and forgotten. Fantastic impressionists depiction of a soldier holding a rifle, crouched in a canopy of darkened jungle. I wish I had provenance, It is signed B. Julian, definitely painted in the 60s.

Mounted in a wood frame with the original piece of nylon rope for hanging (wanted to leave it authentic.) There is an indent at the bottom of the canvas that I took a closeup of. 27.5\" x 21.5\" overall in the frame.
