SUPER SILVER 1921 Gillette Canadian Richwood Safety Razor w/ Case - SUPER RARE:

This is a 1921 vintage Gillette Richwood, Made in Canada, date code#82343Z (the Z on the end of the number indicates it was made in Canada, which is confirmed on both the razor base plate and the case). The double edge safety razor is made in silver plated brass with its original wooden box, plus the blade bank with two original blades, and shaving instructions booklet!
There is a hairline crack in the top area of the handle tube, which is unfortunately quite common from the era due to the twisting pressure of securing the three-pieces and the blade. The case still opens and closes perfectly with its spring-loaded button clasp.
The New Improved Gillette (produced 1921-1930) is well regarded for giving a very nice shave. I'm so tempted to keep this one, but I will pass it on to you, hopefully to give it a place of true honor in your shave den.
