Rare Antique Royal Worcester Gilded Vase: Circa 1893 S3641

Vase is in perfect condition and does not appear to have any signs of wear. Gilt is intact.

Hand painted vase dating to 1893 with a pattern registered in 1884.
Delicate two handled, late Victorian era, vase with short neck has a puce back stamp that appears to date it to 1893.
The vase is hand-painted with roses, forget-me-nots and wildflowers on an ivory coloredbackground with an overlay on top in shades of yellow that darken to honey.
All of the edges are gold, and there are gilded accents on the flowers as well as an outline of gilt.
The neck of the vase and the bottom are worked in bas-relief.
The vase stands 4 1/2" tall and is pattern shape 1089, registration number 27579 indicates the pattern was registered in 1884.

Royal Worcester of England is known as the oldest pottery brand that has been in continuous production since it was established in 1751.
Dr. John Wall a physician and William Davis an apothecary created a unique method for producing porcelain and persuaded 15 businessmen to invest 4500 GBP in their new factory, Worcester Tonquin Manufactory, which was located in Warmstry House in Worcester, England on the River Severn.
In 1788 King George III granted them a royal warrant and the company became known as Royal Worcester.
