History:The Quill and Scroll Honor Society for High School Journalists, initially called the National Honor Society for High School Journalists (N.H.S.H.S.J.), was founded in 1926 at the University of Iowa by George H. It later expanded internationally and changed its name to the International Honor Society for High School Journalists (I.H.S.H.S.J.).
