This is an old and very rare specimen of native copper in calcite. This specimen was collected in the very early 1900's. Unfortunately I don't have the exact mine it came from but it's origin is in the Keweenaw peninsula in the upper peninsula of Michigan. This specimen has paper thin sheets of copper running through the calcite. It has one crystal of calcite that is free floating from the rest of the calcite and is attached to part of the copper sheet. It's absolutely incredible! Enjoy!
Measurements- this specimen is ¾ of am inch wide x ¾ of an inch tall x ½ inch thick.
