Vintage Japanese Geisha doll, hand rooted hair, fabric face and hands, 16" tall including the shoes, but not the stand. Clothing hand stitched.This very lovely doll has many signs of superior quality. The hair is delicately hand rooted, and the face and hands are covered with delicate silk. Her fingers are individually wired.
Her hair ornaments are most intricately detailed.
Hand painted shoes. Several layers of hand stitched garments.
Overall in very good condition. But please note: She has a puffy wrap around her high waist, and the silk is deteriorating. Her exterior garment was originally flecked with metallic paint. Most of this has flaked off, leaving small dark spots. Other than this, I do not see obvious signs of wear.
