This is a vintage antique sample of barbed wire fencing. This sample features an unknown patentee. This wire is called "Italian WWII Four-Point Entanglement Wire" by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 28-E). This wire features three twisted together round line wires. Barbs are four pointed made by wrapping two barbing wires together around one line wire. Points are longer than required to handle livestock. Wire sample shows moderate to heavy pitting. Sample is 18" in length. There are three arbs which are well spaced, and cut is well centered. There is some light bending of points, but no broken or missing points.We have listed other antique barbed wire samples, and will gladly combine multiple purchases for shipping, when paid on the same invoice.
