Autograph Note signed: \"I Zangwill\", 1 page, 5x8. 3 Hare Court, Temple, E.C. (London), no date. In full: \"Sent at Miss Whyte\'s request. Please acknowledge receipt.\" English playwright and novelist Israel Zangwill (1864-1926) wrote many novels on Jewish themes, including The Children of the Ghetto (1892), The King of the Schnorrers (1894) and Dreamers of the Ghettos (1898). He had tremendous American success with The Melting Pot (1908), a drama of ethnic fusion in America. Zangwill joined the Zionist cause of Herzl, but broke with mainstream Zionism to establish a rival Territorialist movement, aimed at creating a Jewish homeland in any available territory, not necessarily in Israel. Shipping - We ship via FedEx and USPS. Shipping charges are calculated at time of payment and are dependent on the number of items purchased and the destination shipping address. Due to the value of most purchases, a signature is required for delivery. This policy limits our ability to ship to PO Boxes. All international shipments (destinations outside the U.S) will be sent via FedEx. Please feel free to contact us in advance for shipping charges - international customers are encouraged to do so.
