We are working as partners in conjunction with Gettysburg Relics to offer some very nice American Civil War relics for sale. The owner of Gettysburg Relics was the proprietor of Artifact at 777 on Cemetery Hill in Gettysburg for a number of years, and we are now selling on .The 1862 PENINSULA CAMPAIGN ~ HARRISON\'S LANDING ~ FROM THE WILLIAM BOND COLLECTION ~ These 5 brass Civil War artifacts seem to originate from a variety of gear and accessories. One piece appears to be half of a case for an item such as a razor or something of that nature, a small, cylindrical zinc disc that may be from a water filtration purifier, a larger brass throat possibly from a scabbard of some type, and a folded brass piece with punched holes that may be from a pack (not entirely sure on these, perhaps some of you will have an idea). The largest piece is about 2 inches long and the zinc piece is about 1/2\" in diameter. These artifacts were recovered by William Bond at Harrison\'s Landing, Virginia. William Bond was a well-known Pennsylvania relic hunter. He passed away in the 1990s and his collection was sold at sale in 1994. A provenance letter will also be included. We include as much documentation with the relics as we possess. This includes copies of tags if there are original identification tags or maps, as well as a signed letter of provenance with the specific recovery information. All of the collections that we are offering for sale are guaranteed to be authentic, and are either older recoveries, found before the 1960s when it was still legal to metal detect battlefields, or were recovered on private property with permission. Land on Battlefields that is now Federally owned, or owned by the Trust, was acquired after the relics were recovered. We will not buy or sell any items that were recovered illegally, nor will we sell any items that we suspect were recovered illegally. Thank you for viewing!
