This is crystal from the mine in Bakhmut. It is Donbass region in Ukraine. Halites are a heritage of the ancient sea, because during 40 million years the territory of modern Donbass was covered by sea waters about 350 times. The halite deposits of the Bakhmut deposit were formed about 300 million years ago during the evaporation of the ancient sea. As a result, 5 layers of crystals were formed, three of which are more than 30 meters thick and are located at a depth of 20 to 300 meters.
