Prehistoric Alligator snapper fossilized head and shell. It's probably the coolest fossil I've ever found, definitely a favorite. Shell is covered in fossilized leeches and looks to be potentially bit by a shark on one side. Head and shell are down to the final layers of matrix (rock film), but this fossil is extremely old and it is very hard to get every spec of dirt out of the pores of shell and skull. I will be working on the skull for a couple more days, but shell is completed. Super rare find! especially to have the head found with it makes it a one of a kind collector item.
