This legendary Schrade Walden 293 is a knife that embodies the timeless spirit and heritage of the brand. The 293 pattern was in the Schrade catalogs from 1953 to 1983, howeverthe WALDEN name was dropped from the stamp and the company name in June 1973. Thisone does not have the WALDEN name and hence it should be from 1973-83 era.

This classic knife features 2(clip and spey) blades with a Delrin handle, nickel silver bolsters and brass pins. The handle is signed SCHRADE and the blade SCHRADE – NY USA – 293. The knife measures 3.75” closed and around 7” with the blade fully open.

This pocket knife is in excellent pre-owned vintagecondition. Blades have a nice snap and almost no play. The shape of blades is wellmaintained. There is visible tarnish on the blades and could do with a goodpolish to bring back its shine. There is no visible rust on the blades but theinner parts show discoloration that may be rust (not sure). The handle,bolsters and pins are in great shape. The plaque with the SCHRADE lettering isclear.

This legendary US made knife will make an admirable addition to anyvintage knife collection.
