Up for sale is a original historical presentation platter for a Civil war soldier by the national riflers of Washington DC from 1894. The inscription in the center reads ..."Presented to Mr and Mrs James Devine by the National Rifles Washington DC August 23rd 1894" ... Is platter is silver plated and does show where from age and possibly use but still displays well for its age. It is fairly heavy and measures 16 1/4" by 20". This came out of an old estate in Lancaster county Pennsylvania.
