Wonderful large Moroccan mint tea caddy (called a "Jabanna" according to the tag on the bottom from 1962, which also states it was over 100 years old at that time) measures approximately 16" tall to top of finial! Moroccan mint tea leaves, when brewed, make a beverage referred to as "maghrebi, which was customary in social settings and celebrations. This large jar could have held a quantity suitable for a large celebration, such as a wedding.
Diameter of base is approximately 10", base around 8" and lid adds another 8". Hammered copper plating has worn down to tin in areas. Missing 3 of the brass adornments. Some of the inside edges are bent, but lid still fits!(myrh)
