1978 James Spratt "Flaming Mane" Horse Head Bust Sculpture

A master sculptor James Spratt who even in his final weeks in his battle with terminal cancer still sculpted Pvt. 1st Class Charles George, a Cherokee soldier who served the US and won the Congressional Medal of Honor, to be placed at the facility that gave Mr. Spratt their care. This incredibly lifelike "flaming mane" horse bust. It certainly does feel as if you are staring into the living eyes of this powerful creature.

The sculpture is in great condition, no cracks or repairs, only a few minor areas along the mane where some color has rubbed away minor.
