I own an advertising specialty company - now in our 45th year I am happy to report - and I worked in the industry for many years prior to establishing my own firm. For a long time my best client was what was formerly known as "The Bell System". Of course after divestiture it was broken up into what was generally called the "Baby Bells" - and later morphed into many variations.So over the years we worked very closely with Western Electric, AT&T, Southern Bell, Bellsouth, Lucent Technologies, OFS, Avaya, etc. I collected many over-run samples, one-of-a-kind spec samples, and the likes.I am now selling much of that collection via . Here is an unusual and eclectic collection of four different golf caps, all carrying the AT&T logo. These are all over-runs samples from actual orders we sold to AT&T in the 1990's. Here are the items:* We sold AT&T a variety of ball caps, frequently associated with a special program going on at the time. AT&T Atlanta Works wanted a nice and unusual cap, and required a gold leaf bill. It is a polyester front / mesh back, with the aforementioned gold leaf bill. I do not recall the significance of "AT&T Team Americas", but they knew, and that was what counted:).* Outside Plant Systems was an integral part of AT&T's Atlanta Works. Over the years we produced a wide variety of caps with this tag line. This example is supported twill front and mesh back. It has the nicer looking braided bill.* The AT&T American Transtech cap is a well made one. Features include full insulated and supported full material top, and made in the U.S.A.* The gray cap with blue AT&T logo was somewhat of a generic design we did for AT&T. This ne has supported polyester front with mesh back. Added features are the bill and side stripes to set if off. Also, the logo is puff printed to give it more depth. It too was made in the U.S.A.
All of these over-run samples go back to the 1990's, but are in remarkable condition, as evidenced by my photos. None have ever been used, but rather kept in sealed containers in one of our sample rooms. Although these items are old, they are in remarkably outstanding as new condition.
