Toeliminate some concerns as to the authenticity of an autographeditem, I include in most cases, what I call a POA (Proof OfAuthenticity), which usually is a copy of the flyer addressed to me,or my proof of admission to the convention and the page listing theartist as a scheduled guest. While I provide certificates for someitems, my experience at early conventions is that, the table sellingcertificates is far removed from most of the artists. As a result,the signing isn't witnessed by the seller of the certificate, so howcan this be guaranteed authentic? Another source of certificatesarethoseprinted up by the seller who guarantees authenticity!!!Just a thought not to get hung up on certificates. I have beenselling signed items on since December 4, 1998. I haven't hadany problems with authenticity in all that time! I personallyguarantee that the signature is authentic, and was signed by thecreator, witnessed by me. If you prefer acertificateIalso provide those upon request.
