Description of item for sale:

This antique tabernacle is from France and it dates to the 18th century (1700\'s) or possibly earlier. It\'s heavy and very solidly made. As you can see in the photos, it shows many minor signs of wear as would be expected on a 200+ year old cabinet. It contains no woodworm or dry rot. The bun feet appear to be later replacements and the interior and rear panel paint is also later. There is also a later door latch and the key serves as a handle only. As we do with all of our furniture, we finished it with a coat of antique grade paste wax that will maintain its beauty for years to come. Dimensions: 34\" high, 32\" wide and 17\" deep (front to back).
