mysterious lamp which appears to be an oil lamp. affixed to a base that took a cord..there is no continuation of the metal rod thru the top, so it has no socket, and the bowl has no piercing thru of metal rod I.e. meant to hold oil ? kerosene?..you will be a lamp restorer who knows what this is .on the top, a metal part to hold (the burner?), inside the cup, A floating bracket type piece of metal not attached to anything, I\'m guessing a clip to attach the burner and wick firmly. interesting and rare lamp with no structural damage..bowl is affixed by porcelain to the stem, not meant to come apart. neato piece of history, unusual. glazed. 10.5\" tall, base is 5\" square.
