WW2 M39 Čačak Serbian Helmet Kingdom of Yugoslavia Relic 1939 - 1941 Royal Guard:
$160.00

An extremely rare piece of WW2 history, the M39 Čačak is a helmet was commissioned by the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in the 1930s to replace their aging Adrian helmets from 1915.For a template they took the Czechoslovak Vz. 32 and started production in late 1939 in the town of Čačak in Serbia.A very limited amount was manufactured due to the war erupting in 1939 and the invasion of Yugoslavia in 1941.
You may ask, what is the difference between the Vz and the M39?Well aside from the quality of the steel and the camouflage, on the Čačak the rivet that attaches the chinstrap lug to the helmet has no washer. (Picture provided)
This version of the helmet has 2 holes on the front designed to hold the Kingdom of Yugoslavia coat of arms steel crest (that is present on the Yugoslav stahlhelms and Adrians)These specific crest designs were assigned to the royal Yugoslavian king's guards
