Vintage Native Americ Handmade Birch Bark Folded Gathering Basket that has been stitched together with Spruce Root.
Beautiful unsigned birch bark basket hand-made by Athabascan Alaska Native Marilyn Paul from Northway, AK. It has the original tag still on the basket with her name on the tag. It is in excellent condition without any kind of damage or repairs. The basket measures approximately 13 inches long x 11 1/4 inches across x 4 1/4 inches high. There are a few places w the onion skin top layer of bark is pulling away from the basket, but that doesn\'t indicate damage. Rather it is a natural feature of the bark.
