This was obviously a well loved and used quilt, it has even been repaired at some point on the bottom seam. In my mind a young wormen sewed this gorgeous piece at some point when she was older there was some damage and with much older and less nimble fingers the quilt was repaired. The repair stitching is not the same quality as the rest. From what I can tell I believe the piecing was even done by hand. The cream borders have some discolorations and spots. I have not washed this nor tried any stain removal techniques.
