$195.00

This vintage 1970's Deer Kachina by Bernie Talus is a beautiful piece of Native American art. Handmade in the United States, this kachina is a traditional Hopi tribal affiliation doll. It is a must-have for collectors of Native American culture and ethnicity items. The antelope design is intricately detailed, and the doll is made with high-quality materials. This kachina is a unique representation of Native American art, and it is sure to be a valuable addition to any collection.

Bernie Talus carved for a Scottsdale Arizona souvenir store in the 1970s. I have just listed several of his kachinas from my collection.

Approximately 9”

The Deer is a sacred animal to the Hopis, Navajos, Zunis and many Native American Indians. Like most animal Kachinas, the Deer Kachina dances to increase his kind. This Kachina also aids in bringing rain, making the grass grow, and ensuring there is plentiful food for the future.

As you can see when you examine the photographs, he is missing one of his antlers.
