Platinum, like its major competitors Sailor and Pilot, began producing fountain pens covered in various types of leather. This one is sheepskin, and in 1967, it cost 6,000 Yen, which was a company functionary’s or school teacher’s monthly salary.
This pen has been used very little, and all it will take is a flush to get out the little ink residue that is seen in the transparent blue feed.
A must for any collector, and very rarely found these days.
