Manufactured in 1964 by Donald Art Company in New York. This stunning vintage pair of Chinese bird prints has all the charm. Very retro, Asian, eclectic vibe. Each measures 40" tall by 14.5" wide. The wood frames were made to give the look of real bamboo. There is red paint distressing along with the dry gold brushing to give the details an extra pop. The prints themselves have all the soft, calm colors that coordinate and compliment each other for that yin and yang balance. The condition of these is good for their age. The print with 4 birds is slightly wrinkled at the very lower left. This can be fixed with new matting. That same frame has had something spill on the top edge of the frame. The gold has a drippy run to that area, which could be touched up with a dry brush of gold paint. In the photos, you can see the difference in color of the top of each frame. The other frame has one little chip in the top back of the frame itself, cannot see at all when hung on the wall. Otherwise, there are very light rubs to the paint surface on each frame, years of being moved around.
